How to make a Bee Balloon Animal

How to make a Bumble Bee Balloon Animal
By: Holly Hopper

I actually just got done working at an event where I was asked to make a bumble bee.  People will ask for this occasionally so it's always nice to know of  a great looking balloon bee that you can whip up when people request one.  They will be amazed and overcome by his cuteness :)

I used to be very afraid of bees actually.  Whenever I get stung I swell up really big.  Once I got stung on my middle finger and couldn't bend the finger for days, it was so swollen I thought it actually might bust!  That was not a fun week.

Now that I've gotten into gardening I've learned to develop more of an appreciation for the little bumble bee.  They really do make my garden produce food much better and I've learned from being around them more that they really are just looking for the next flower to fly to!  Just don't try taking their flowers away from them when they're in the middle of pollinating!!!

Anyway, I hope that you all enjoy this bee balloon how to.  It is a little bit different than what most balloon artists make for bees.  I don't usually carry the 321 balloons on me so I wanted to come up with a design that only used 260's.  This is what I came up with and I'm pretty happy with it.

Please let me know what you think!
